If you're in the web & standards world, you can skip this introduction. CSS Reboot is a "community event for web professionals" as it is described on its about page. In plain terms, on a certain date (1st May, 2006 - this edition) a bunch of web "professionals" (geeks) will launch a redesigned version of thier web site(s).

I've decided to jump ahead in time, and start the launch a bit early. Hence, I've CSS Rebooted a day before schedule.
I got tired of the old look (picture on the right) of my web site and wanted to change it a while back, but I didn't got the time to do it. Thanks to the CSS Reboot event, the change was forced by this deadline, which I couldn't turn my back on. I've registered since January when the Spring edition site launched. :)
For the new layout I went with a fluid layout, but with a maximum width limit. I remeber beening refered to as "constrainted" layout. Anyway it's a popular layout, and I see why. It gives you more space to fill up.
I also decided that it would be the time to bring the side bar out of the blog area, and put it on all the pages in the site. I'm currently using it to display a small about paragraph and some news, but soon I'll find some more good use for it.
I've tried to take advantage of the oportunities the fluid layout has given me, which is more space. Also I really like the grid layouts I've seen a while back on the web. Thus, I created a sort of irregullar grid system, which is plainly columns of different lists of elements/atoms.
As you can see the new design is based on straight lines and curves. Although I know they shouldn't be blended into the same design, I like how it turned out here.
With that being said, I fair you good bye and hope it pleases your eyes. It sure does for me.
