Hello and good morning! My name is Valentin Agachi, and this is the very first post in my weblog. Here I will talk mostly about the web, but don't be surprised if I sometimes go off-topic. I will generaly try to keep my posting subjects constant.
If you care to find out some details about me, be informed that I am based in Bucharest, Romania. Although born in the city of Bacãu, Romania, I eventualy moved to Bucharest a few years ago to go to high-school. After graduating from high-school I moved on and got into the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Bucharest, where I am currently attending 2nd years' courses.
During my youth in high-school, I started to create web sites and applications. My very first application was a project that I implemented by myself and is now currently in use by my former high-school (see Virtual Catalogue in my portfolio). After learning properly PHP and having a view of the posibilities of applications, I started working for idip Romania, where I developed a CMS (see idip Content Deployer in my portfolio).
Leaving aside the web developing skills, in the past year I have learned a lot of things about CSS and web standards. This is why this weblog will focus mainly on the following subjects:
- PHP programming
- web standards
- CSS
The reason why I start to blog now, is guilt. I feel guilty because in the past years I have learned a lot from the web community (especially css and web standards), but have not shared anything. I haven't given anything back as a thank you. So consider this weblog as my way of saying "thank you for everything".
